I feel stupid ‘cos I really liked Wicket. But also....it would’ve been too dangerous for her. I couldn’t explain to her why I come hive with weird wounds or in disguises. Why do I have so many horn attachments? Where the tattoo makeup comes from? The fake prosthetic limbs? How could I have ever explained any of this to her? OR Vicsen? Vicsen, being the public man he is, it would’ve ended up like Bruuno all over again.
I guess I’m just peeved because even if I HAD wanted it terribly, I couldn’t have it anyways. With any of them.

Jahspr, how was your relationship with Vicsen? Are there things you miss about it? What about things you miss about Wicket?
I miss a lot of things about them. I miss the security, the idea that I could live a regular life. I miss how sweet and tender Vicsen was....and I miss what a wild ride Wicket was. I know I left them hanging, without much of a goodbye, but it’s what was best. They both deserve trolls who wouldn’t put them at risk.
You stop at the window of a boutique. You look through your reflection, into the clothes on display. They had a unique grunge vibe. They made you smile.
They reminded you of someone. You remember Wicket, you specifically remember meeting her through another troll and being infatuated with her. She had such curly hair. And you loved it. You loved how intense she was, and yet so mellow. You were so love sick with her.
But your smile fades when you remember telling her you were taken by Bruuno. He was the safer option- obviously. A fuchsia? And a tall one at that? He was the perfect choice for a mutant like you. He’d make sure you were safe, even if all he did was just exist.
A cuspblood like Wicket would’ve been dangerous. And the game you play is a dangerous one anyways, why would you want to include more danger in your life? You frequently worked your way into enemy lines to find info and details that everyone wanted. You knew so much, about so many, you were easily a target. You were a risk to her, right? Even if you adored that lazy smile and how much liquor she could hold, you didn’t want to put her at risk.
But Bruuno, he’s a fuchsia, remember? He’d be fine. And he’d give you an alibi. When you’re sneaking through Fleet Bases and Rebel Bases alike, finding details, he’s saying you were at hive with him.
You step back from the window and look at your reflection in the glass. Your smile returns. You’re becoming a danger to Bruuno too, now, and you’ve decided to call it off for the moment. Laying low.
Yeah, it sucked. But you made the right call. Because they’re both still alive. You keep walking down the street, and turn into an ally. At the end stand two tall anons, blocking a door.
