#banshee doodles

So I’ve been rereading @seananmcguire‘s October Daye series in preparation to start on The Brightest Fell, and that turned into trying to figure out how I actually picture some of the main folks which of course turned into “well why don’t I just draw them”. Because why wouldn’t it? Anyway the Luidaeg is my favorite and I thought I’d give her a shot first. I’m still not super sold on what I ended up with, but maybe it’s close enough for now, and I’ll revisit once I finish the great rereading spree. 

I still really like the dream/rough au idea the Ezra pictures are from though so I might fiddle with it again when I have the free time who knows

Ori got the symbolic flower treatment with Astrantia/masterwort (strength, courage, protection), Angelica (Pure and noble intention, angels wings), Cactus flower (endurance), and Daisy (Hope and stubbornness). Not pictured, but I also kind of associate with him: Pennyroyal (peace and self improvement), Begonia (happenstance, lush desire), and Lily of the Valley (return of happiness).

And I love Mirel so, so much just kill me but his flowers MEAN SOMETHING TOO particularly in regards to his backstory and personality because I am a shit so here: Anemone (forsaken), fern (fascination, shelter), jonquil (desire, ‘love me’), marigold (grief, cruelty, jealousy), and poppy (oblivion, pleasure).
