Preppy Text Banner V3
What You'll Need:
Photoshop doesn't matter which one.
A Pattern for your text.
A color scheme which you can find Here
Step One
Open either a new image or the sign you have already finished in Photoshop. Get your text tool and type out your sitename/text. Make each letter a color of your colorscheme and alternate the colors. Adjust the kerning and metrics to your liking.
Step Two
With a colorscheme on hand go ahead and add the colors to your swatches for convenience. Now right click on your text layer and click Rasterize Type. Double click the layer and first we will add a 2px solid white stroke. Now click Gradient Overlay. We're using the default black/white gradient. The blend mode should be set to soft light.
Step Three
Make a new layer, drag it below your text and merge down.
Step Four
Double click the layer. Check stroke. Add a 3px stroke using your gradient. Set the degree to 0. Repeat step 3.
Step Five
Double click the layer. Check stroke. Using the scanlines/dots provided make a 1px stroke. Now check dropshadow. Set the spread and distance to 0. Leave the size at 5px. Repeat step 3. You're done. final Product:
