Glynda considers herself to generally be fair to people, to give them the benefit of the doubt whenever possible, and she was doing her best to grant this woman that kind of charity.
However, there was something bothering her, and as it involved Oscar, Glynda couldn’t simply chase her worries away, and so she decided to confront the Caldrian woman about it.
“You keep staring at my son. Why?”

How unbecoming of him, to come into her place, when she’s still recovering from her surgeries, and simply doze off while they talk. “I didn’t anticipate there would be so many hurdles to get into Atlas - at one point I was sure I would be able to embark on a plane, let alone pass the borders.” Finding his glasses, he puts them on and then places his hands on her shoulders, gently. “How are you feeling?”

“I would think we wouldn’t be asking you to come live with us if we didn’t want you,” Glynda stated, looking up at the other. She’d had to work up the courage to bring up her feelings for Libra to James in the first place, and more so to actually propose Libra move in with them. It was slightly off-putting to have those questions aimed at them. James put a hand on his wife’s shoulder, sensing her discomfort. He doubted Libra meant any harm with those questions, though he could see how it could be taken badly, too. “We all have our baggage, if that’s what you’re worried about.” He had some experience with feeling unwanted, a burden.

“Usually, those are the things you most need to let out.” There were many things he kept to himself, even though he was usually a very open person, due to shame, or fear. Sometimes it was just too painful to open the gates. “Is that the case?”

For words spoken so calmly, their sting is quite sharp, cutting through her not unlike Libra’s blades did with the training bots. She wishes the other wouldn’t mention Oz like that, almost like a weapon against her - or at least it’s how it feels. It might simply be that this whole situation has her emotions running high.
