Yesterday at Balfar's Challenge, I was taken by surprise. The event marked 7 years I have been a protege to Master Ernst. When I was taken on all those years ago, I had tippets (green and yellow) instead of a belt. As the years went on, things changed. Yesterday, among my sisters and loved ones, Ernie gave me a fresh new yellow belt. He then presented me with the coronet that belonged to his late wife, Linda. I became very emotional (hell, I ugly cried, Ill admit it. There are pictures of it in the Balfar's challenge album). I am so touched, moved, honored. Also, Baroness B'Rose gifted me with one of her pins to keep my new coat closed against the breeze. I am grateful for the people around me that I call friends and family.
