I just finished watching Legend of Korra and absolutely loved it, but I was wondering if anyone else felt kind of sad about chi blocking being the main weapon of the uprising. I mean, Ty Lee was one of my favorite ATLA characters and I loved how in the season finale she was going to teach the Kyoshi Warriors how to use it for protection. I don't know, just got to me a little bit :/
Ikr. But the thing is, I think non-benders have a right to learn chi-blocking. I mean you're in a world where the majority of people are benders and if you're a non-bender, you can't really defend yourself that greatly as opposed to a bender. I think as a form of self defense, non-benders should be able to learn chi-blocking without getting arrested for it.
Now, if non-benders were just going around chi-blocking innocent benders all willy nilly (like the Equalists), then there would be a problem.
