#baldi update

For those who saw in mystman’s newest status update, a big new change coming in 0.14.3 is optimization/nerf/improvement of Student Shuffle, as it’s become a highly criticized aspect of BB+ for it’s rather unfair gameplay changes. (I myself don’t have too much of an issue with it personally, but it’s definitely ended quite a few runs of mine so I think this’ll be a great change)

I see a sidewalk, a flag pole(?) and a new cursor?? That one appears to be the student hand instead of the usual 1st Prize hand 👀

He also reiterates a point that I did say but it didn’t much attention which is that future updates are very much a possibility, that 0.14 was just the last planned major early access update.

Ok!! This update’s gonna be a fun one!

So the sole new mechanic being introduced in this update is STICKERS!!! Oh so much fun and whimsy I love this so much

To me, what looked like the “FaceTime” is actually the back of the You Can Think Pad! This is where you’ll be able to place the stickers you collect!

So, what ARE stickers?

According to the Kickstarter, stickers are a new form of collectibles throughout levels in Baldi’s Basics Plus. There will be multiple way to obtain these stickers! This includes completion of the math puzzles as well as buying them in Johnny’s shop!

It seems when you pull up your YCTP to check your map and such, there will be an option to flip it over where you can place your stickers!

As you can see, there is a total of 4 slots meaning you can have 4 stickers equipped at once! But what do these stickers do? They’re basically our first inclusion of a Power Up system in BB+!!

For example, that backpack sticker you see equipped there! Having one of these stickers gives you an extra item slot!! Each sticker will have its own unique ability, some being more valuable than others!

Also as you can see, you can have more than one type of sticker equipped at once!! For example again, equip 4 backpack stickers for a total of 9 item slots!!

Another little note, as I mentioned you can only equip 4 at a time, so once you place a sticker on top of a different sticker, it’ll cancel out the previous sticker in favor of the new one.

I think that’s about all we know about the stickers at this time! I’m so excited for this update this looks like so much fun! This is such a fun gameplay change as we’ve known Micah’s had an upgrade system planned for quite some time now! I absolutely love the way he implemented it This is so cute like genuinely
