On July 28, 2012 I debuted my bald head (because of chemo for Breast Cancer) for the first time! Today is March 28, 2020 and Iβm debuting my bald head for the SECOND (prayerfully) last time. NO I DONβT have cancer again π Bald. Again! Well time itβs a mixture of grief (over losing Mommy) which lead to severe stress, and life changes/challenges. So basically my immune system is attacking my hair follicles, which is what occurs when you have Alopecia Areata. Yes, I have a wonder AA woman dermatologist ππΎ Yes, I know I shouldnβt be stressed. I know my Mom has been gone since August 2018 and I still deal with that grief x now not having a Mom and Dad (he passed in August 2003). Yes, I know God is my healer, comforter, provider, and Savior! And yes, I know this too shall pass! This time it was a little harder to stomach. Call it PTSD, or sadness, or being in my mid 30βs and dealing with another βillnessβ. But this is me being brave again... and YES I know I have a great God given bald head and Iβm NOT ashamed to rock it!! Please I still have hot flashes and being bald is SO COOL!! π And yes itβs #coronaTime and I have a compromised immune system again...so thereβs that... π· But I TRUST God and Iβm gonna be alright. Keep praying for me as I am doing the same for you, your family, our community, our country and the π ππΎππ #mybaldisbeautiful #AlopeciaAreata #SurvivorStatus #BaldAgain (at Maryland) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-S_-vAhPHi/?igshid=162w65ux9vm9o
