((Because I like doing memes for people)) Stein is someone that Kid very much looks up to. Kid has a lot of respect for him and views him as a great mentor. Additionally, the madness that Stein has had to overcome gives Kid the strength and hope to try to face his OCD (which could be considered a form of madness in and of itself).

I say Espurr. It's pokedex entry is "It has enough psychic energy to blast everything within 300 feet of itself, but it has no control over its power." So basically it's trying to contain a power it can hardly control, much like Stein's madness.
