Veteran broadcaster Denis Johnson has died at the age of 64. I first met DENIS when I was an intern at Starcom during the summer of 1996. He made my time there quite enjoyable. I remember him most for his kindness and captivating smile. He was knowledgeable, charming & had a witty sense of humor. The Chase Files extends sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. Johnson, who was born in Grenada, was best known for his many roles at Voice of Barbados/Starcom Network. He joined the team in River Road on November 1, 1994 as a freelance moderator, but a short time later, was appointed announcer/moderator. Johnson rose through the ranks in the Radio Services Department to senior programme assistant, senior producer and programme director.
