Hello! There’s been a real lack of updates in our digital realm, but we’ve been very busy in the physical realm. Most importantly, our debut LP “O Horizon” will be coming out in early 2018! The tracks have been mastered and it’s been sent off to the pressing plant. It’ll be released in the US by Last Hour and in Europe by Sabotage. You can listen to the title track now on our Bandcamp. We’ll also be touring Europe in March and April. We’ll post the dates when they’re solidified.Â

“Bay Area Girls Rock Camp (BAGRC) empowers girls through music and promotes an environment that fosters self-confidence, creativity, and collaboration. Our innovative programs—including summer camps and an after school program—offer girls an opportunity to build musical skills, develop their unique voices, and challenge gender stereotypes. At BAGRC, we are cultivating a new generation of inspiring and confident young women, and empowering them to pursue their dreams in music and beyond.”
This fundraiser primarily is to raise $$$ to help low-income youth in Oakland/Alameda County/The great Bay Area receive financial aid tuition to attend our 2017 Summer Camp program! This program means so much for our youth, here’s a super cute Camper quote to express a common sentiment:Â
“I think this is one of the coolest camps ever. I like that it's mostly girls and no one really expects you to be perfect. It's about having fun and learning. When I get old enough I want to work at the camp or volunteer. I can't wait till my little sister is old enough to go too.”
MORE GIRLS & WOMEN IN BANDS! That’s our mission at Scream Queens, and BAGRC is literally laying down the tracks to make this come true! Please donate if you can <3 and a reblog might just get you entered into a raffle to win awesome Rock Camp merch and download codes for the BAGRC bandcamp anthology! AND A SPECIAL SCREAM QUEENS MIXTAPE OF YOUR CHOICE OF GENRES.

i am super lucky.  i was invited to photograph one of the summer sessions at this year’s girls rock camp.  it was so badass to see these girls form bands and write music.  they all had so much energy and attitude, it was incredible.  i didn’t ask them to pose or anything, these shots were their own doing, all i had to do was just press a button.
s/o to morningriser and jaimes-world for putting in a good word for me.

Bay Area Girls Rock Camp (BAGRC) BENEFIT
THURSDAY, DEC 27Â
6:30- 10P
@ AWAKEN CAFE
Ewox and Xavier Dphrepaulezz are going to rock your world, with special comedy guests Shanti Charan and Karinda Dobbins, all to raise money for the Bay Area Girls Rock Camp (BAGRC). We will collect a $5 cover at the door, 100% of which will be donated to the BAGRC. This event is open to all ages (though there may be adult content, such as strong language)
**If you can't attend the show, please consider making a donation anyway. This is an impressive organization and we are trying to raise $2,500 for them by December 31. (read more below).**Â
EWOX is the greatest latest all female rock band to come out of the East Bay, or what we like to call The Beast. Small, yet destined for big things.http://ewox.bandcamp.com/ KARINDA DOBBINS has humor that is sharp, distinctive and infused with hilarious social commentary. Karinda will soon make her primetime national television debut on NickMom Night Out, a series of stand-up comedy showcases on Nickelodeon. http://www.youtube.com/user/KarindaDobbins XAVIER DPHREPAULEZZ's musical career includes mainstream success, and good ol' fashioned street cred with a variety of projects: solo debut Xavier; pop/soul group Chocolate Butterfly; punk band Blood Sugar X; LA hotspot Club Bingo. Xavier will be performing with his band. http://www.blackballuniverse.com/
SHANTI CHARAN's wit and wisdom will leave you rolling on the floor. A twitter aficionado, she can crack you up in 140 characters or less.http://shanticharan.com/ BAGRC runs summer camp and after-school programs that "empowers girls through music." They are also expanding their programming to include opportunities for adult women to get involved in rock music.http://www.bayareagirlsrockcamp.org/ Right now, we're working to ensure that all young women and girls have an opportunity to play rock music. The goal is $2,500 by the end of the year. Please contribute whatever you can. If you're familiar with mathematics and the general audience size for cafes, you may already know how highly unlikely it is we'll collect $2,500 on Dec. 27...we need every penny we can get. Find out more, and make a donation on Theresa's fundraising page:https://bos.etapestry.com/fundraiser/BayAreaGirlsRockCamp/2012campaign/individual.do?participationRef=176.0.35835921
