Of course Kyungsoo was here. He had to be, didn’t he? Of course they assigned him onto the same mission as you, of course you were here on the same night, at the same time. You held in a groan as you saw his darkened form slipping across the rooftop you’d just crossed. He would reach you in less than a minute.  

But this was the best vantage point, and like hell you were letting him have it. So, though disgruntled, you stood your ground and hunched lower behind the shelf of solar panels that hid you from view. 

To his credit, he showed no surprise that you were here. He likely saw you a good minute before he crossed onto the roof of your building, scouting out the area for threats. Judging by the lack of bullets in your body, he didn’t peg you as a threat first off. On second thought, though, that was kind of disappointing. 

“Fancy seeing you here,” he murmured as he slotted himself into the space next to you, pulling out his gear and setting up. He didn’t look at you once as he turned his sights on the window of the building across, which didn’t offer a perfect view of your target, but was the best opportunity you had. 

“I could say the same,” you drawled. You and Kyungsoo weren’t enemies. Or even rivals. You just exercised friendly competition - at least that was what he called it, until recently. Things had gotten a lot more intense the past few weeks, with both of you constantly aiming to outdo the other, even if it necessitated sabotaging the other’s mission. If you were both on the same mission today, then his objective was yours, too. The minute your target left the building, you would have to drop from the rooftop and follow him discreetly. 

You were going to win today, damn it. 

It was a long wait. Really long. So long that you almost had to stop yourself from dozing off, once, which you’d never, in the history of your - admittedly very short - career, had to do before. Kyungsoo (of course) remained alert beside you. 

You almost missed the cue, but even so, you noticed before he did. There: on the tenth floor, your target came to a halt in front of the elevators, adjusting his coat as he waited. You were up and moving in a moment. Kyungsoo still hadn’t seen. “Hey,” you whispered. “Up there. Fifteenth floor.” 

You almost laughed when Kyungsoo immediately turned his sights up, far out of range to catch sight of what your target was actually doing. By the time he noticed, you would be gone.  You hadn’t much gear, so it was just a matter of adjusting your backpack on your shoulders before you were running forward, bracing yourself at the edge of the rooftop for the twelve-foot drop. “Catch you later!” you called behind you. You dropped and rolled, breaking into a sprint moments later. 

Your target was here. Oblivious, as targets were wont to be. You melted in with the crowd, settling into a walk a few paces behind him as you watched him attend to a phone call. Your mission? Listen in on that phone call. You were one step ahead, the radio you’d rewired in your pocket already having tapped into his line. The static gave way to clear words. He was talking some kind of business deal: you didn’t understand much, but then understanding it wasn’t your job. Before you could really pay attention, though, the voices turned back to static. 

“Thanks, Y/N.” That was Kyungsoo’s voice, painfully smug in your earpiece. You froze in place, fuming as you realized what he’d done. “I let you win. You did the hard part. I had the much easier job of just hacking into your earpiece.” 

“I…”There was no way to hack him out - even if you turned off your radio, he already had the link. You’d lost. Again. “Damn you, Kyungsoo!”

All he responded with was a rough, teasing chuckle. “Maybe next time?”

3. favorite music video from a boy group?

Why is this question so hard ;A; I legit just went down a music video rabbit hole trying to figure out which one was my favorite ;; I have a lot, but I do think that one of my favorites has to be Wanna One’s Beautiful MV and I’m not talking about the 8 min version.  I’m talking about the full 17 min one ;A; It gets me every time I watch it ;; Like you need all 17 minutes for the build up in that video ;;

Other’s I’m particularly fond of are Infinite’s The Eye, Winner’s Really Really (though I think I just end up with that song stuck in my head) and NU’EST’s Overcome!

4. favorite music video from a girl group?

This was a little easier but still really hard OTL I love, love, love Lovelyz’s For You! It’s such a pretty video with that beautiful summer imagery even tho Woollim released it in the MIDDLE OF WINTER. It’s still gorgeous ;;

For something a little edgier, I’d say Red Velvet’s Bad Boy. Everything about that promo period for me was so good!

10. which group fits your aesthetic overall?

Tbh, though I personally really like dark colors on myself, I aesthetically like pastels and colors that are usually too bright to be wearing at a game studio XD So the girly, colors that are often in a lot of Lovelyz’s stuff really appeals to me. Like I wish I were cute enough to pull of half of their outfits XD (like everything in the Wag-zak MV is so cute!!)
