Summary: Dean Winchester is in love with his best friend, a man he has never met, who goes by the handle AngelofThursday. Problem is, Thursday values his privacy and refuses to meet. Dean buries himself in his work at his bakery Slice of Pi and in computer games, desperately trying to move on from a man he can never have.

James Novak has problems of his own. The Doctor doesn't know that many beings he flat out hates. Everyone has something remarkable about them, even if it's twisted. Enemies though... Well, after nine hundred years, you're bound to have irritated some people. Just a few. Thousand. 

Yes, the Doctor has enemies in excess. (Which is why this headcanon isn't about a specific person.) He's defeated all of them at least once. Some of them, he's systematically wiped out, destroying an entire race. He doesn't talk about his enemies much and tries to avoid most of them. However, having all of time and space before you never does leave as much room as you think.

Most of the Doctor's friends are human. One of them is Boeshane. Not many of the Doctor's friends have the preceding title of "best," though a few think they do. In truth, the Time Lord's best friend is the one he can never escape, the one he's been with since the beginning - the one he used to hate.

Yes, the Doctor originally viewed his TARDIS as nothing more than a means of transport. Even Gallifreyans aren't that smart all of the time. Now, the old girl is his partner in crime. She is inside him just as much as he is inside her. They know each others' needs on a telepathic level. He tries to be careful with the old girl. She doesn't regenerate in quite the same way he does, after all. Of course, she knows his adventurous streak, so she eggs him on when he needs a little extra push.

The Doctor has/has had many lovers. One of them is Boshane. One is a valiant child. Of all his past lovers, Jack and Rose are the only ones still living. This is why the Doctor is so protective of them both. (River, no matter her future, is still a backward moving paradox in the time stream for this Doctor.)

The first time the Doctor took Jack on a date, he set out to impress. A different planet, a violet sky, exotic delicacies from other worlds - and then the invasion came. As it turns out, landing even ten years outside of the time you wanted can have some disastrous effects. By the end of it, the Time Lord confessed what he had wanted to have happen and limped off to his bedroom before Jack could react.
