How to Avoid Backtracking and Start Optimizing Routes with the Badger Map
How to Create a Route?
There are two ways to create a route with the Badger Map. You can tap the āCreate Routeā button under āMy Routesā tab. Alternatively, you can simply tap "Add to Route" on the information card for a customer or a lead. The customer search feature will help you quickly find individual customers that you need to visit or have an appointment with. Once you are done filling in your schedule, the space in between appointments will stand out. You can fill in this open time by finding other customers or searching for potential leads near current appointments.
Fill in āDead Timeā in Your Schedule
Once you have populated your route, you can set a start time. Once the start time is set, the app automatically accounts for travel time to build your schedule that day. Once you put in your appointments for the day, you can spot places in your schedule that you can fill in with meetings with nearby customers or prospects.
For instance, let's say you have a meeting at 11am, but after your 10am meeting, your 11am appointment is now pushed back to 2pm. The Badger Map allow you to fill in that dead time with other customers or leads.
Adjust Your Route
You can reorder your route by clicking and holding the little group of squares organized into a grid on the left side of each stop on your route. Your schedule times and the route icons on the map will adjust accordingly. You can also have the computer optimize your route minimizing the distance you have to travel by tapping the "Optimize Route" button at the top of the list

With the Badger Map, you can now turn your ādead-timeā into the āmeeting timeā. Happy Routing!
The Badger Map layers in prospects from public data sources so you can see where the prospects are that you donāt know about yet. Think of it as putting Yellow Pages on a map. With our āNew Leadsā feature, you can easily pinpoint prospects that are relevant for you, whether it's cardiologists, waste water treatment plants, or tire distributors. Letās say you are a medical sales rep and and cardiologists are your prospects. Simply type ācardiologistsā in the search bar and the map will display the nearby cardiologists on the map. In this example, the briefcase icon represents the cardiologistsā locations on the map.
You can click on each icon to display information such as contact number, open hours, and website, which can help you learn more about them and determine whether they are relevant for you.
Once you identify the right prospects, you can save a lead search by pressing the āSave Searchā button under the search bar. You can also add new leads to your route in the same way as a customer and hit the āoptimizeā button to see your updated detailed schedule with travel directions, total travel time, meeting time, and distance.
You can also use the āNew Leadsā feature to find other locations such as coffee shop, public parking or restaurants, etc.
