Byron took a window seat, tapping his fingers idly. He people watched, trying to gleam information from how they behaved. He’d allowed Badou to choose the café; if he was really so out of touch as the young man said, the current environment would be his classroom.
He’d misjudged the time it would take to arrive, and had additionally left even earlier so as to arrive before their meeting time. Was that a ‘boomer’ way of thinking? He couldn’t say.
And there he was. Byron waved lazily, then turned to watch Badou’s approach.
“Good afternoon. You’ll have to order for yourself, I wasn’t going to presume your tastes.”
