Hong Kong in one dialogue
working as a ticket-collector for a fashion show... (I said the wrong thing when a foreigner woman asked me to keep her yet-to-appear friend's ticket, which I wasn't instructed to do.)
Foreigner woman: "So YOU couldn't help? I couldn't understand you Hong Kong people! This is my first time here and I'm already sick of it! YOU guys couldn't even handle this simple thing. I have been waiting for - " Some passing local patrons (loudly): "so SOME people think we're not smart enough." Meanwhile, next to the woman, the normally arrogant supervisor: "Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, ...." *********** Not understand us? Well, you just printed a pretty good picture of us.
