there was a post goin around a few months ago written about how condorqueen had given happy-sapphy over 800$ for a computer that she never received(later worked out long past the initial deadline, 1, 2) and claims that lynn was a scam artist praying on trans people to take their money and run, and from what ive heard from my friend thats not necessarily true, shes not a scam artist but she has poor work ethic wrt ‘Black Ice PCs’ and how she interacts with her customers.
i wont name names and im only here doing this because it personally upsets me how my friend was wronged and she doesnt want to continue the drama surrounding this situation, so this is more of a catalog or a post to document what happened not only for myself and my friend but anyone else who is thinking about working with happy-sapphy, aka badboshtet, aka thewomanfromitaly.
it was agreed upon that my friend would pay half up front and the other half on receiving the computer, 260$ was paid to lynns ‘company’ Black Ice PCs on april 27thso lynn could pamper herself at the spa and buy clothes and put together a costume for a convention. another 50$ was sent to her friend via paypal on may 1st(more on why later) which was the last official payment due to all the drama surrounding the problems with the computer she sent not including the 95$ my friend had to pay to get it looked at and not even fixed. as it turns out the computer was put together very poorly and amateurish, they told her that all the cables were wired wrong and not grounded, and the temperature sensors the case came with werent fastened in the right places either and wouldnt give off an accurate reading. they had to completely take it apart and put it back together the right way, making it more organised.
still cheap for a gaming pc right? not so much when she just canabalised used parts from her old computer, essentially paying 0$ out of pocket to actually build the computer with 1-2 year old parts, aside from the tower she bought which was about 50$, everything was cash profit for her. it was agreed that the computer should be at her house by no later than july 27th because that would be within paypals 90 money return policy and the computer wasnt there until some time in august. considering her track record with sending her computers out late it almost seem tactical.
not only was the computer sent out after the 90 day return policy, the computer arrived in shambles, broken brackets inside the case, it wasnt properly padded inside the box she used which was just the box the pc case came in which isnt meant to hold an entire computer inside of, it was drenched with water, and the old graphics card was completely dislodged from the motherboard left to dangle from withinside the case itself. not sure if the damage is by part of lynn or the shipper she used but the computer should have been more properly padded to protect it. it wouldnt turn on properly the time it was there until for some unknown reason a few days later it worked just fine. its also important to note that lynn didnt include the right amount of ram either.
my friend also tried to on many occasions fix the computer by herself, with the help of others, and with lynns help, however lynn was constantly asleep, sick, depressed, overwhelmed, at the hair salon, etc. to offer any real help other than saying ‘i dont know why its not working it worked here’ and telling her to take it to a pc repair shop. to this day she hasnt had it fixed or looked at because she says shes tired of throwing money away on something that doesnt want to work.
heres another experience someone else has has with lynn wrt to her shotty pc workmanship where it was agreed that lynn would help him build his own pc through skype video calls for 100$. ive seen a lot more people upset with lynns business than they are happy with it and the outcome of their computers, unfortunately condorqueen isnt available anymore or else id ask her some questions about this situation.
if you are thinking about contacting happy-sapphy about getting a pc computer because you think she’ll be accommodating and willing to troubleshoot problems you have with your computer in the future then id recommend looking elsewhere, the promise of her discounting trans people isnt worth the trouble of her products and her lack of help fixing the problems they come with.
