Okay basically her name is Ivy from the village Duskit. She has a Twin sister named who is actually a friend’s character, but anyways. Basically Ivy and her sister Rune come from this pit that is relatively connected to the world previous ( taking the idea that Gurren Lagann is sorta a post apocalyptic thing ya know ) and so they have gatheredand used up scraps from the past to adapt to their needs today.

Anyways, their parents died from an earthquake in a very weak area of ground in one of the exploration areas when they were in their early teens. Their parents had been trying to give them a sort of history lesson when the earthquake occurred. In the process Their father was crushed completely after pushing his daughters away but their mother was crushed from the waist down, where she gave her final words to the girls and Ivy took her mother’s necklace to keep.

It was a very traumatic experience for them both to say the least and they were trapped in the area for quite a while. When help came thoughboth girls were simply numb and in mourning. 

Ivy became nearly obsessed with her mother's trade, trying to fill the shoes she felt her sister needed. Her mother was something of the ‘doctor’ of the pit, but mostly she relied on plants (which were scarce) and ‘belief system’ to try and cure anything. Most of the time she was the person that those nearing their end were comforted by and made them as relaxed as possible. Her mom did however have books about flowers and plants and the ways they could be used in the medical field, however most of the plants (at least in their area) were thought to be extinct. But she studied it relentlessly anyways.

When Kamina’s sort of revolution was going on and the word spread, Ivy was  around 17ish and mostly from the influence of Rune they decided to join. ( Well Rune did but convinced Ivy that if there was a War going on they’d definitely need someone like her soooo)
