Rapunzel wig step 5:
It’s all brushed out now. I have to wait for the second wig to arrive but I’ll use it to make the mini braids, make a smooth piece for the very bottom, and anywhere else that needs some extra.
I also did a test of the lights. It’s a 20 foot string of battery powered fairy lights. I’ll tuck the battery pack into the back of the dress.

Rapunzel wig step 4:
Half of the wig is now brushed out. I’ve been containing the pieces in large twists so they don’t get mixed up. The twists are easier to undo than braids and keep it mostly smooth.
The tools. A comb with fine tooth and a normal section, and a wide tooth comb. All three have been useful for different knots and tangles. The detangle spray helps so much with the really messed up sections.

So brushing all of it from the bottom up was too daunting. Now I’m doing one section at a time, and breaking that section into about 1 inch wide pieces. The detaingler helps with the really difficult parts.
You can see the finished section on the left, the next mess in the middle, and the rest of the wig twisted in the back.
