So as I was thinking about doctors and stuff while laying in bed I was reminded of the time I went to the entirely wrong dentist and ended up changing my whole family's dentist. One time when I was just entering college my mom made me a dental appointment with a new dentist I'd never been to before (we had just moved) and gave me an address to go to for it. This was before I had a smartphone so I looked it up on a map before heading out and made myself a list of streets to look out for. I made it to a dentist using those directions and headed into the building to get to my appointment, but when I got there they had no record of me. Pretty typical for not having been there before but they didn't even know I had been coming. I didn't think anything of it, mom had probably just not made an appointment, so I filled out all the paperwork and got my appointment over with. When I got home mom asked if I had gotten to the appointment because the dentist I was supposed to have visited gave her a call asking if we were late (I had never shown up), and so I told her what all had happened. Turns out that I had magically found another dental office within a half mile of the other office that just so happened to be not busy that day and also took our insurance with a minimum of fuss. Not only that but they did a better job than the other people, and their office was nicer as well, so my parents ended up going there as well until they got a referral to my grandparents' dentist (who is a family friend but has a very crowded practice). In summary, I'm magic.
