Ingredients: 1 fire pit with cooking grill. 4 lbs of your favorite meat e.g., chicken, ribs, or steak. 2 cups BBQ sauce. 1/4 cup olive oil. 3 tablespoons dry rub seasoning. Salt and pepper to taste. Wood chunks or charcoal for the fire.
Instructions: In your backyard, put the fire pit somewhere safe and open. Put the charcoal or chunks of wood in the fire pit and light it. Let it burn until there is a nice bed of hot coals. In a bowl, mix the dry rub seasoning, salt, pepper, and olive oil while the fire is going. This will make a marinade. Cover the meat with the marinade and make sure all sides are well-seasoned. Put the grill on top of the fire pit once the fire has died down to hot coals. Place the meat that has been marinated on the grill. As you cook each side for 10 to 15 minutes, or until it's fully cooked, baste it with BBQ sauce. Check the meat's internal temperature to make sure it's done the way you like it. The BBQ food should be taken off the grill and left to rest for a few minutes before it is served. For an extra flavor boost, brush the cooked meat with more BBQ sauce. Have a great time at your backyard BBQ with family and friends!
