#backstory yeah

For those who wander where I am from, I hope this will be a good enough tale to tell about my origins. Everybody knows the saying "not all those who wander are lost", well they forgot to tell you that those who are lost do wander. Those who so foolishly travel in the Hope's of something big, but fall short and find themselves lost. I was one of those, though my memories of the why I was lost will forever be a mystery. I came across the town like anyone else would, wandering through a dense fog on a cement paved road, except, this time was different. Instead of a small seemingly deserted town in this countryside, there was nothing but fog. Endless white for as far as I was willing to walk before I just couldn't take it. After walking for what felt like eons, I finally experienced something different, something that was pulling me to stand and walk forward. Like that little voice inside your head giving you advice and telling you where to go. I follow it, hoping beyond hope that it will bring me to a place far away from this endless hellscape of white and gray. Soon, as if whatever it is senses I am about to give up, a road sign appears off to the right of the road. I glance at it, not really knowing what is said on it but seeing an arrow pointing forward as if indicating a place to go. Following in seemed to be my only option at the moment, so I walked on. This time, within a few seconds, the fog seems to almost lift up off the ground, almost like some unforeseen entity has just plucked the fog clear from the ground. What lay before me after the clearing, a small town in the middle of that fog. The town was small, only a few hundred people would possibly fit it, and most of them seemed to be missing. I wandered the town hoping I would find anyone who could tell me where I possibly was. I had searched for hours before I was able to find something, that was when I had come across the town hall. On the sign outside of the hall, there was a single piece of parchment paper tacked on the board. The note read: Not all those who wander are lost, some of those find themselves among this town, but it seems you are the only one here. This town is a place for those who can find refuge when they are lost among themselves. This town seems empty at the moment, for it has been created to be watched over. You have been brought here to watch over the town and those who habitat it. You were also brought here to keep those who are lost like yourself safe, and to also give them guidance in their journey through themselves. Please keep this town, the towns’ inhabitants, and those who are lost safe, they are the reason you were brought here. Stay safe, keep the town from chaos and watch over everyone. - The Creator. After reading the note, I had no clue what to think. I realized The Creator had a job specifically assigned for me, to be the protector of the town. I walk to the town hall mentally preparing myself for the responsibility as caretaker and protector of those who come to the town. Walking into the entrance of the hall seems like a large weight resting on my shoulders. How am I supposed to look after a whole town by myself? I breathe in, knowing that I'll just have to take this step by step and work it out from there. Over the course of a few years, I have learned different things about the town and worked around to keep the inhabitants of the town which I nicknamed the Residents, safe. I also have established rules in place to hopefully prevent any of those who find themselves in the town from harms way. I have only had to change or add to the rules recently and have had the company of many people and entities who find themselves here. Many of those have come and go in relatively the same fashion, but either way I am happy to have kept their stay here at the town great. I am grateful for those who come have a chat with me and hope they, in the near future, have a great rest of their lives.
