Amerikalı indie rock grubu Bright Eyes önadamı Conor Oberst’ın projesi olan Desaparecidos, tek uzunçalar albümü Read Music/Speak Spanish’i 2002 yılında yayınlamıştı. Albümden sonra diğer projelerine devam edip grubu askıya alan üyeler, 2010’da konser vermek için bir araya gelip, 2012’de albüm kaydedeceklerini de resmi olarak açıklamışlardı. Bu yıl Haziran ayında 2. albüm Payola’nın piyasaya sürüleceği ise City On The Hill şarkısıyla duyurulmuştu. Desaparecidos’un 2. singleı ise Backsell.
