Assessment 3 - Background Message
The topic of the video will focus on the Mesozoic period, which is the period when dinosaurs primarily evolved. The three Mesozoic period include:
Triassic Period (252 to 201 million years ago):
All continents in this period were just a single land mass (called Pangea). The environment during this period was hot and dry, and reptiles that we now know as dinosaurs first evolved in this era, as reptiles tend to flourish in hot climates. Dinosaurs found in this period include eoraptor and herrerasaurus.
2. Jurassic Period (201 to 145 million years ago):
In the Jurassic period, Pangea split into two: Laurasia in the North side of the globe, and Gondwana in the South. Temperatures slightly fell, and rainfalls increased. Dinosaurs in this period include brachiosaurus and stegosaurus.
3. Cretaceous Period (145 to 66 million years ago):
The land separated further apart into some of the continents we know today, meaning dinosaurs evolved differently in different parts of the world, becoming more diverse. Dinosaurs in this period include T-rex and Triceratops.
Focus of Message:
The message given from this educational will be sharing general information about each period and what dinosaurs exists in each period. The video will also deliver brief explanations on how dinosaurs evolved in each period, as described in the explanation above.
Another main message focuses on educating and sparking people's interests on dinosaurs.
