Halfway waking Zanka before you leave for a job that he isn’t on and his eyes still aren’t open when you tell him, ‘kiss, cleaning calls,’ in a soft singsong. You know he’s far from actually conscious, groggily turning to the sound of your voice as you lean closer to press you lips with his.
Usually he purses them, if even slightly, now a reflex with the morning routine, but there are days like today when he doesn’t. When he rouses to your voice, lifts his brows and hums but doesn’t open his eyes or respond to your touch as much.
It makes you giggle, the way his brows furrow when you whisper, ‘kiss, Zanka, m’leavin for the day’ as you press your lips to his but feel no returned pressure. He hums sleepily, making you smile after deciding he’s far too sleepy to even subconsciously kiss you.
Turning to open the door after securing your over the shoulder bag with a sigh, “oh I can’t wait to give you grief about not wanting to kiss me later today.”
Because if there’s one thing cuter than your sleepy boyfriend, it’s when he’s flustered and teased.
