During the con, the founder came by and told me she wanted to see me in the theater for a moment. She wouldn't tell me why and I thought it was a secret meet n greet surprise or something. She told me to wait off stage and a panel was about to start. I hung out, sipping my coffee, confused, hoping the audience couldn't see my awkwardness. Someone spoke into the mic and said the panel was about to begin, but first he wanted to "recognize someone from the design team who went above and beyond in their work for the con this year." He said "Emy Clark, come on up here," and I was like 😳. He gave me this hat in representation of the "Golden Hat Award" and I fumbled around with my coffee, took the hat and regretted not fixing my hair now that I was on stage in a frickin theater. I was told the guy was a member of the creative group Weim Time and that this was pretty damn important. I honestly had no clue this was happening, I'm so so grateful, I'm humbled that my work is appreciated to such a degree by so many ppl, and I can't wait to do the same in the years to come. Thank you so much, #babscon. ❤️🤓 #babscon2017 #weimtime #sycamorestudios
