Anna Karenina: First Review
Origionally a Russian novel written by Leo Tolstoy, the novel, Anna Karenina, has no doubt snagged my complete attention. I find myself in love with the lengths that Tolstoy went in creating such a romance. Though I am yet halfway through, I can not help feeling a sense of attatchment toward the characters. The thought that must have gone into each and every character is praise worthy; the web which ties them together showing no flaws. I find myself being swept into not only one, but two very well written romances. At one moment I am Levin, struggling with his feelings toward Kitty and dreaming of a life of marriage. Then I'm quickly pushed into a steamy romance between Anna and Vronsky, while also seeing through the eyes of Alexey, Anna's seemingly wicked husband. Needless to say, I am eager to know the ending. Part of me feels there is a possibility that it may end terribly, though I hope said part is wrong. I feel that I can not truly express how much I adore this book, that I can in no way do it justice. However, I shall attempt to do my best with every post. Until next time!
Your very own overlooked literature junkie,
Alicia.
