ANSHSHSH OF COURSE thank you for asking 😭 they exist in a weird little mashup of game and show canon now (save for juliana, who is strictly in hbo canon) but max, shane, and cooper all were created for the game, and lily goes everywhere with me like a little blonde security blanket. so. BUT YES PLEASE TELL ME ABOUT YOURS 💜
— i’ll start with max, as i’d consider her my “main” tlou oc. i did a deep-ish dive of her game background lore just before the show dropped here if you’re interested, but the TLDR of her current state is she lost her brother, shane, on outbreak day (this will be elaborated on a bit more later) and ended up in the pittsburgh qz. she eventually married cooper, who was executed as a firefly conspirator right before the zone fell. max was also arrested and meant to be executed as well, but the fireflies interrupted, and max was pulled out injured (a pretty gnarly rifle butt to the face, damaging her cheekbone and eye socket and almost causing her to lose an eye — enter cool scar) but survives.
she becomes a firefly after that, feeling indebted to them and happy to throw her anger and grief into something “productive”. she eventually starts up a romantic relationship with marlene, and serves as her right hand woman until (technically) marlene’s death at the hospital. she was assigned to shadow joel & ellie, and fails spectacularly at the shadowing part until joel finds out she’s a firefly and sends her packing after their first visit to jackson.
she’s just vibing in jackson these days, dragged back there by joel after she got shot helping him clear the hospital. often found kissing @nightbloodbix’s beck or hanging out with @jackiesarch’s maura. i don’t acknowledge the second game and wrote my own plot, but more on that later.

HELLO YES OF COURSE i went into it some here but since i’m incapable of shutting the hell up about them here are some more points that i’ve thought of:
din “touch starved and covered head to toe in armor, probably hasn’t had his skin touched by another person in years” djarin vs. luke and his incessant need to hug and hold his loved ones constantly, kiss fight
and i cannot emphasize enough how fast din would collapse in response to skin-to-skin contact. see: here.
luke “i must make everyone else’s problems my problems and also make my problems every one else’s problems” skywalker vs. din “wants nothing more than to just be a side character in this bitch of a galaxy” djarin, fight

din tending to luke’s wounds while gently scolding him in mando’a.
speaking of mando’a, din teaching luke mando’a. i’m weak. please note that luke’s pronunciation is horrid but he’s trying his best.
luke trying to teach din about the force but he’s just not getting it. later on when din is starting to get it, he continues calling things by their wrong names specifically to annoy luke. luke knows this and doesn’t call him on it.
also grogu committing force-wielding baby crimes against his father while luke helps him (or at the very most does nothing to discourage it)
luke loses brain cells when he sees din interact with children in general because he’s weirdly good at it and it’s just too cute.
din loses brain cells when he sees luke fight because he likes a partner who could potentially beat his ass (see: omera)
din and luke sparring with the beskar staff and lightsaber, respectively
alternatively, still sparring but din is wielding the darksaber 😌
Fudge is super easy to make with the right recipe. Can of sweetened condensed milk, 3 cups of chocolate chips, a pinch of sugar and a splash of vanilla. Throw it in the microwave, stir, refrigerate. I've done it with both semisweet and white chocolate. Great for adding mix-ins like M&Ms or smashed candy canes.
Yep, there are lots of ways to make fudge that don't involve split-second timing and soft ball tests! Sweetened condensed milk is a pretty popular "modern" fudge additive; another tumblrite mentioned marshmallow creme as a non-standard fudge base.
However, my aunt's recipe is the old-fashioned kind, milk-sugar-cocoa and boil until supersaturated, etc.---it was sheer hubris to think I'd get it right on the first try, but I am going to keep at it.
ok, you seem to be the closest accessible TLOU nerd. I've been sucked into the fandom by the power of Pedro Pascal, but I'm too scared of zombies to ever play the game. I've been reading the wiki. It doesn't seem like dogs can get infected? But infected humans do attack animals. Do you think it would be a risk to keep bees, with the possibility of spores contaminating the honey and wax? Or do you think antifungal measures could prevent that?

neither game explicitly shows any animal getting infected, but it is hinted at, at least for certain species. in the first game, there's a section in the university of eastern colorado where you find artifacts that insinuate that the fireflies had been experimenting with animals. one artifact especially, a recording made by a presumed scientist, implies that a monkey infected with cordyceps can infect a human. but yeah, in the second game, we do see dogs attack infected humans without the dogs themselves getting infected. that kinda makes sense, though, since dogs are far genetically different from humans than monkeys are. i assume that monkeys just become carriers, and the cordyceps doesn't really infect other species.
that's all the information we get, though they have also shown some concept art of a scrapped encounter with an infected elephant in the first game. so i think they've toyed with the idea of infected animals and just haven't quite known how to implement it well, and have likely just abandoned the whole thing in favour of other types of enemies.
in both games, cordyceps is shown to thrive in wet, damp, dark areas, and that's where it also releases spores; not so much in open, airy areas. and the infected only release spores when they have been killed by cordyceps. so i'm not sure it would be too much of a risk to keep bees, since they'd most likely be kept pretty far away from any possible spores. they could be contaminated by an infected human somehow, though. but let's think about a place like jackson, where people already tend to multiple types of animals, grow crops, have communal spaces... by the time of TLOU PII, the place has been thriving for years, so they could probably easily keep bees, too. i'd imagine the risk just depends on where you are in the world, and how much protection there is against the infected so they don't get close enough.

Myrcella Baratheon Fancast Resource
Myrcella has golden curls, emerald eyes, and full lips. She is described by her uncle, Tyrion Lannister, as having all of her mother Cersei's beauty, but none of her mother's nature. Myrcella is delicate, beautiful, and courteous. For her age, she displays courage, a strong will, and high intelligence. She is eight, or almost eight, at the beginning of A Song of Ice and Fire. Myrcella resembles Rosamund Lannister. (x)

CARA JENKINS - YOUNG ELIZABETH (BELLE)
Cara was 8/9 when filming Belle. She’s got a handful of scenes at the beginning of the film, all in regency-ish clothing.
ELLE FANNING - MARY (THE NUTCRACKER IN 3D)
This film had an unusually long post-production, so despite the 2010 release date, it was filmed a few months after Elle’s 9th birthday. I honestly cannot pin down any sort of era for the fashion, but she’s just got the most perfect Myrcella curls.
POPPY WIGGLESWORTH - CHARLOTTE (THE DUCHESS)
Poppy (seriously does this kid have the most fun name or what?) was also 9 when filming The duchess. Late 18th-century fashion, usually in scenes with several younger girls.
ANAMARIA VARTOLOMEI - VIOLETTA GIURGIU (MY LITTLE PRINCESS)
11 during filming, Anamaria is really too old for Myrcella, but she’s has such a perfect aesthetic for her that I’m including her anyway.
OTHERS
1. HANNAH ENDICOTT-DOUGLAS - BRIDGET O’MALLEY (SAMANTHA: AN AMERICAN GIRL ADVENTURE): 9 during filming, Edwardian fashion. She plays a working-class girl, so most usable Myrcella footage comes from the end, when she’s in a nightgown instead.
2. ELSA HOUBEN - KATHERINE WOODVILLE (THE WHITE QUEEN): I can’t find an exactly birthdate, but she was roughly 10 during filming. The White Queen and the other Philippa Gregory series’ are full of tiny blonde children in Tudor dress, but you do have to do a fair amount of mining since the children tend to appear briefly.
3. LIA GIOVANELLI - YOUNG COSETTE (BBC LES MISERABLES): Another one for whom I can’t get an exact birthday, but she’s 10ish as well. Again the costume design’s not super accurate to Westeros, but she’s an expressive child with a fair amount of featured scenes.
4. RAMONA MARQUEZ - PRINCESS MARGARET (THE KING’S SPEECH): 9 during filming, medium number of featured scenes, early 20th century fashion.
