Hi nonny! Again thank you for the request I really enjoyed drawing it :'D its one of my favorite tropes too! I've been spinning these two in my mind since this morning for fun -- mostly canon compliant cause its more fun for me that way~

Okay so Consider:

[PreCartman drinking Kenny's ashes] Kenny is now in a soul link (or something insert weird voodoo magic) with Craig his bad luck deaths have subsequently been linked too, so its Kenny's conscience to keep Craig alive. And anyway if Craig is to die, Kenny is fucked and his soul cant attach to anyone before it goes back to his actual body. Thus the guardian angel behavior. Kenny helps Craig navigate through stupid shit like not getting chosen to be the 4th boy, not freezing in a cave during the family surprise sweepstakes to Aspen, etc.etc

Craig is super pissed off at this whole situation because of course he has to get looped into main 4(3?) shenanigans now somehow even when hes got nothing to do with them or intentionally around them at all. All while he looks like hes going crazy with kenny in his head and sight. The worst part is that the proximity has made him develop a small crush on a dead kid in his head the he misses him when all the sudden he dissappears, damn it!

Having Kenny come back by the end of season 6 sends Craig in a small loop because now he's the one thats put together Kenny's death revival and its a huge wtf moment. But they would grow much much closer after this whole guardian thing because of shared life threatening trauma... Its just Craig is someone who would suppress his feelings while Kenny just kinda knows and doesn't say anything or it would ruin whatever they have probably. So a lot of post season 6 is that tension kyaaa.
