Embark
I think when we embark upon a relationship, it is a way of taking a glimpse into ourselves.  We may think we know, but it never becomes apparent as seeing it from someone else’s lens.Â
Being alone is easy because you can go through time and not trigger a response of dealing with your internal issues.  When someone is in front of you, looking into your eyes and saying, “I want you to see from my perspective,” it elicits a moment of truth for you that may not have been apparent without them.Â
Relationships are scary for the most part, but mainly because at times there is a mirror in front of you. Â And what you see is not always pretty because you have negated parts of yourself for so long. Â What I have learned is vulnerability is not negligent...For sometime, I was scared to show my feelings and chose to speak to their facade instead of being me and speaking my truth. Â
I have come to accept, whether that mirror is pretty or not; I am going to be me, speak my truth, and not be afraid to hold back. Â Because of her, who I am, is all I have.Â
As I internalize through another’s eyes, I have ascertained that this is part of the human experience.  That is what makes us human.  We are not meant to be here alone because we could not evolve without these connections.Â
Dare boldly, be the most authentic self you can be, no matter how frightening or triggering that can be in this human experience. We are meant to find our truest selfs within a symbiotic experience. Whether that is fleeting or sustained with this person. You were meant to grow with others. Just breathe into these moments because this is what you have here. Now. To embark is being whole.
How love can not only move you but also save you. Your truest love helps you rediscover parts of your soul lost to past traumas. When you encounter that singular moment where you pass someone and the energetic connection halts you, your rational mind falters. Instead, a profound sense of knowing whispers that this is the person. You learn to trust this intuition and embrace it. It is in this connection that you are reunited with your true self, and with something greater than yourself.

Battle of the Wits
They will bait you into dialogue because their end game is to get you to engage in the “battle of the wits,” unknowingly. The switch goes off and so the battle begins.
Before you know it, there is an inquistion as they deflect from themselves. They only want to draw you in to their clench so they can slay you with their words sourced from their underlying wounds. Always focusing on the past and not the here and now.
It is pretty simple, really. You cannot engage. Do not take the bait and respond. Pivot the conversation and move on.
Because you see, they are not even saying anything that is relevant, they just want you to go into battle with them. It brings them pleasure to retort at every point without even having a true conviction in the point being made. The more you withdraw, the more you win. They are not necessarily a force to be reckoned with, it is just that they are endless in their fight because they will not let go. So do not fight back or feel you have to defend yourself. That is what they want you to do so they can bash you again.
Do not participate in this game because to them it is only a game of the “battle of the wits” that you never signed for in the first place.

Something has shifted in me. I finally feel free to just be. You lose to gain. You let go to see. And this flower pops out to remind you of a moment once had. I know you loved me or maybe you still do, but you admitted it yourself that it was in a shallow capacity. That was not enough for me to stay and be slayed by your unjust rhetoric. The way you would shift like a pendulum between love and resentment, left me wounded and baffled how this love could be? Then I realized I had to love me and when I accepted that in all this, you seized to be part of my journey.
