So uhh... we are finally about to find out what exactly the Menoa Tree took from Eragon.
My theory (probably incorrect) is that instead of taking an organ it took the functioning of an organ.
What if Eragon has diabetes! He could be slowly going blind... and getting sick. Wounds also tend not to heal properly because of diabetes.
My other theory is spleen and hence some sort of immunity issue.

If Murtagh killed Eragon he would be a mental disaster for the rest of his life.

I'm reading Murtagh and this part immidiately hit me:

Eragon and Murtagh's relationship is very interesting to me.
Its antagonistic obviously... Murtagh feels betrayed by him in some manner. Or more accurately not trusted.
But! Some part of Murtagh has this weird drive to protect Eragon.
He especially thinks of the fact that he has rescued Eragon very often.
I think a part of Murtagh misses the Eragon he accompanied and protected and help reach the Varden.
