Do you respond to comments? Usually. Sometimes I lock up when faced with a particularly nice one. (I'm so sorry.)

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? The Future Unseen. (OUaT Milah-centric, no happy ending possible there.)

What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I'll say New Dawn Coming. Happy endings for everybody! I started that one knowing how I was going to end it, and I remain pleased with the epilogue.

Do you get hate on fics? Like... once? It was a long time ago, and I deleted it.

Do you write smut? Yes. I never think I'm very good at it.

Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? I used to think I would never write one, but I also thought I would never write an AU, so who knows? I have not written any yet. I have a vague idea for one (Promare/Pacific Rim) but no plan.

Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not as far as I know. I don't go around looking.

Have you ever had a fic translated? No.

Have you ever co-written a fic before? No.

What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? As a rule I work on one thing at a time, and I write it until it's either done or I decide it's not worth finishing. I don't know how y'all juggle so many things! :D I just posted one yesterday and haven't started anything new yet.

What are your writing strengths? Oh god, I don't know lol. People who like my writing seem to like it for the vibe, more or less? I'm always pleased when I get a "this feels like canon" type of comment.

What are your writing weaknesses? I don't always provide enough detail about what's going on in the physical action. I suspect I'm too analytical and not enough in the emotions.

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I don't have any thoughts on this. It hasn't come up.

First fandom you wrote for? MCU, back at the dawn of time.

Favorite fic you’ve written? Right now, Make Me Pretend, Make Me Expect (the long-distance one where Chay goes to school in Japan for a year). I had so much fun researching and writing it, and I feel like it did exactly what I wanted.

I have divested myself of the MCU, but for old time’s sake, I must include Pepper.

From my second fandom, of course, there’s Emma.

Shadow Weaver is obviously a terrible PERSON, but I loved every second of her as a character.

C. Do you remember the first book you ever read?C. Nope. I am told that I was a precocious reader, but I have no memories of anything I read that early in life. When I try to think back, I land on this series that Disney did where you could get books from your grocery store via some kind of coupon system I think. This was back in the 70s.

X: What book has your favorite cover art? Yikes, that’s a tough one. We have literally several thousand books, and a bunch of them are in storage. I really like the four-volume set of Roger Zelazny stories where all the spines form a continuous image, though.

Z: If you wrote a book, what would it be about? I am always writing a book. :) The one I am currently thisclose to finishing finally is about a half-fairy about-to-be-ex-lawyer and her girlfriend going on a road trip with a phoenix egg.

I started writing my first novel when I was EIGHT, Anon. :D I made it maybe 20 handwritten pages in before I gave up? My mother still has it somewhere. I remember that I used an orange pen for at least some of it. 

Basically I have wanted to write novels since I was conscious that they were a thing. I wrote on paper. I wrote on a manual typewriter that used to be my uncle’s. I wrote on a word processor (one of the kind that stored one line of text and then printed it all out in one go). I wrote on IBM green-screens and printed stuff out on dot-matrix papers with tabs on the sides. I have personally accounted for several trees worth of paper at this point.

Most of that time was spent writing minor variations on the same novel, or series of novels–I wrote the first two of four before I finally shelved the damn thing. And then I wrote Tisiphone, and well, here we are.

OMG SO MANY but we will start with Mulan because I have so many questions.

7. Who is a character you wish you could like but can’t?

Hm so I generally don’t feel this way about characters. If I don’t like them, I have reasons for it. At this point, I suppose Snow? I really enjoyed her early on, but for several seasons now, the writing for her has struck me as inconsistent and after-thought in nature, which is really a shame.
