Something I have always wanted, is to be a parent. As a AFAB non-binary, I knew how to deal with the sexism and misogyny any future daughters would face.
What I didn’t know about and was completely blind to, is the specific ways that sexism and misogyny impacted men. So when my partner and I finally started to break it down and I started seeing it everywhere, being the absolute feminist bitch I am, I’m not going to keep my mouth shut.
No one should go through violence, body shaming, sexual abuse and harassment, dehumanisation and stigma. No one should have an identity created for them based in violence that leads to expectations that create severe mental health disorders that are going untreated and undiagnosed.
We need a more loving and tolerable society. I’m here to call out the bullshit society has created and offer suggestions to combat it, so we can begin to dismantle the patriarchy and create a more equal and humane world.
