Idia, who is so anxious that he thinks going to visit his friend’s dorm is weird and creepy and Ortho keeps telling him it’s literally normal, so he kinda just gives up and lets Azul decide the boundaries. Azul spends a lot of time with him? Probably normal. Azul’s really touchy whenever they’re in person and does stuff like putting his hand on his shoulder and it’s- it’s new, but it’s not like he dislikes it. So he starts doing little gestures in return- leaning on Azul’s shoulder, walking a little closer, grabbing his sleeve when it’s too crowded, etc.

So Azul obviously thinks he’s flirting back, so they escalate. Azul puts a hand around Idia’s waist at time, spends even more time with him, even works up the courage to hold his hand and Idia presumes “Okay, we’re just really good friends, right? This is something you do with like, your best friends, so it’s normal.”

Azul Ashengrotto was a swindler. 

Azul Ashengrotto was a business man. 

Azul Ashengrotto….was stressed.

The mentioned boy groaned as he massaged his neck, feeling something crack at the base of his neck. The relief that he felt was quickly replaced by the dull pain of another sore point on his body. 

Azul made another miserable noise.

“That contract laced with poison or somethin’ ?” 

Azul let his gaze wander over to the flame brought to life that was currently lazing around on his (premium, office grade, velvety soft) couch. 

“Idia.” he mumbled, suddenly wanting nothing more than to bury his face into Idia’s neck. Preferably in his room, on his bed with the lights turned down low.

Because he was pretty sure if he had to stare at this contract for another minute, he was going to get a second migraine on top of the one already forming. 

“Azul shi~ C’mere.” Idia shifted his tablet that was laying on his chest to lay down at his side as he opened his arms for Azul to dive into. 

Azul Ashengrotto was a weak man.

He let himself fall onto his boyfriend, his lips curving up into a slight smile as Idia’s small “Oof!”.

“Idia~ Why do I have such idiots in my dorm~” Azul whined into the crook of Idia’s neck, the pulsing pain behind his eyes slowly ebbing away as Idia’s (magic, they must be) fingers ran through his hair and massaged his head. 

“Idk man, wanna switch ? One of my fucking freshmen blew up our computer lab and another infected a computer with a stupid virus.” 

Azul groaned, a deep suffering sound that came from the bottom of his heart, and lungs. 

Idia wheezed out his normal, slightly unsettling unless you were Azul or Ortho, laugh. 

This was generally how the two would spend their weekday nights with each other. 

Sometimes they alternated places, either Azul’s office or Idia’s room were their usual spots, though Azul was still waiting for Idia to be comfortable enough to start doing this in the Mostro Lounge itself.

Imagine how much more revenue he’d get if he was able to advertise the Mostro Lounge as a place even the most extreme of introverts was able to come to !

Alas, he’d have to wait. 

Azul shifted in Idia’s hold, tangling his legs up with the man below him, and moving so that Idia could rest his chin on the crown of his head. 

Idia started playing a game, the soft sounds of combat slowly lulling Azul to sleep. 

Azul Ashengrotto was a swindler, a business man and a conman professional. He wouldn’t deny it.

But right now, he was Idia’s boyfriend, who looked like he desperately needed some sleep. 

“Azul shi ?” Idia mumbled, using his phone screen to see if…

The tips of Idia’s hair turned pink, and an uncharacteristically soft smile slowly made its way onto his face. 

“Shit, need a pic of that, stat.” Idia mumbled as he opened his camera app to capture an asleep Azul. 

It wasn’t rare to see Azul asleep, but like the thousands of cat pictures on Idia’s phone, he simply couldn’t have enough pics of the octopus. 

Idia messed around with filters before snapping multiple pictures of his boyfriend, giggling to himself as he did. 

“Azul shi~” Idia mumbled to himself, still smiling like an idiot.

Azul mumbled in his sleep, his arm coming to pull Idia closer to him as he buried his face in his chest. 

Idia wanted to bite him. 

“...owowOW?!!!!’

Azul tried to bat his (stupid fucking idiot) boyfriend away as Idia bit down on his cheek.

“Azul~” Idia’s voice had a slightly teasing tilt to it and Azul’s brow furrowed as Idia’s lips pressed against the bite mark on his cheek. 

“Idia. Shroud.” Azul grumbled, shoving him away as he sat up properly. 

Idia followed, wrapping his arms around Azul and burying his face in his shoulder. 

“Yo.”

Azul might actually kill this fool. 

Idia presses a kiss to his collarbone and Azul rethinks his previous statement as he shoves his boyfriend backwards just so he can get him back.

Idia learned metalcraft and Made Azul's engagement ring himself. It's a high karat gold, with 3 opal magestones set into it. It's also got really tiny tech that they can configure to whatever Azul might want
