A doodle of Kinko ready for summer!
(I mean…. Chesmo doesn’t actually have seasons and it’s always hot on most of Chesmo, but if Kinko lived on Earth he’d be ready for the pool even though azdoves aren’t great swimmers)

Chesmo, the Azdov Homeworld
(tweaked some info)
It has been 10 years since I first came up with the Azdov species! Not only have I fleshed out azdoves and their universe since then, but my art has improved as well!
Azdov, Azdoves, Azdovs
Fine.
The plural of "azdov" is "azdoves", but you can spell the plural as "azdovs" too if you really want.

I did more drawing practice, this time using Laga.
Timuron the Azdov falling into a dark void.
My proportions are terrible so I'm experimenting trying to get more realistic proportions.
Even though the Azdoves were created as a space-fairing species for a sci-fi-esque setting, I felt like retroactively going back and adding more detail to what azdov history looked like.
In this instance, here's a map of Chesmo's "Old World" area when the first emperor created the ror calender (hence why this is ror 0)
The Cheisan Empire, populated mainly by red and orange azdoves, was the first Empire in the line of Empires that would eventually unite all azdoves.
The Kingdom of Ishmma (or Ishma), mainly populated by yellow azdoves, was located on the River of Ishma and would be conquered by the Cheisan Empire in ror 11. The River of Ishma is an "outflow" river which means it drains from the hyperlake to the salt basins at the equator.
The Kingdom of Jonas was a forested kingdom populated by green azdoves. Green is an extinct fur color in modern times. This is because the Jonasians refused to convert to I'awaism, so when the Cheisans conquered them in ror 12, they exterminated the Jonasians.
The Rain Kingdoms of the Yalushans, Iraians, Dengridebis, and Kuvirans were a squabbling set of polities which would later be integrated into the Cheisan Empire. These kingdoms were diverse for their time, and were populated by a mix of Red, Orange, Pink, and Brown Azdoves.
The Great Island Coastal Federation was a trade-oriented civilization located on the Great Island's west coast. This group was primarily made up of Brown Azdoves. This Federation also has a presence on the mainland in the form of the city in Maishu. It is said that Great Islanders made up a majority of the world's sailors and fishermen at this time.
The Kingdom of Ruingrove was a small state based out of the city of Ruin, which was located next to the ruins of Grove. Ruingrove was populated by Blue Azdoves.
Purple, White, Grey, and Black Azdoves existed elsewhere in the world at this time. Pink Azdoves were mostly nomadic.
(Note- The Cyan sea is part of the North Superlake and is freshwater like the vast majority of surface water on Chesmo)
(Also for anyone who needs a reminder, a ror is not a year. It is an arbitrary 1000 day period which the azdov calander is based on. Since Chesmo has basically no axial tilt and thus no noticeable seasonal differences, the azdov calander can get away with basically ignoring the planet's natural year. A Chesmian year would be much shorter than a Chesmian ror)
