On the matter of smushnames
I’ve given it due consideration and I’ve decided that the most obvious and least-bad ship name for alphinaud/aymeric is aymeraud.
God help us.
I wrote like 300 words of the Alphinaud/Aymeric epistolary identity porn fic, but I don’t know where I’m going with it so it’ll probably stay confined to my scrivener forever.
The characterization is flowing pretty well, I think, the main problem is that I have to come up with a plot ie something for them to actually... talk about in these letters. Since this is not an established relationship so they can’t just talk about how much they adore each other. (yet)
fandom is hard and writing is hard. ugh. *lies down on floor*
Things I would draw, if I was at all a decent artist: older!Alphinaud wearing Estinien’s jacket. (a modern AU estinien absolutely strikes me as the leather jacket type) It’s like 5 sizes too big for him still, but he is Very Warm and comfy.
also, in general, Alphinaud in larger peoples’ shirts. the Boyfriend Shirt thing is very important ok!!

Really whoever you ship Estinien with, it's hilarious because like...Aymeric is super fancy, Alphinaud is super fancy, and then Estinien is like a possum they found in the trash and decided to take home.
