Hi friend!! I have this exact feeling all the time. My two current favorite ways of dealing with it (that kind of are two ends of the spectrum):

1. I read Marie Kondo’s Magic Art of Decluttering recently and it’s really taught me a good way to hold onto what I cherish and get rid of things that I don’t need

2. I like thinking of myself as a dragon who sometimes hoards shiny things for no reason. Sometimes I just really like the look of something like makeup packaging so I cut it up and glue it into a journal I have. I call it my “shiny things” notebook :)

When my anxiety is bad (and even when it’s not) I also become an obsessive cleaner, so I totally get what you mean!

I’ve heard of that book!! I havent read it but I’ve heard about the method and i’ve been trying to slowly incorporate it into my life lol (it’s just that I’ve got lots of stuff to go through ;u;)

emerald: favorite thing about yourself?

i like that i’m really conscious of other people’s feelings and i strive to be respectful even when they dont deserve it, and at the same time i like to think i can still stand up for myself and others when i need to (although i still need to work on courage and confrontation a lot of times ahaha;;; it really depends on the situation)

salmon: place you wish to live or visit?

ahh there are so many places i wanna go to!! I really miss hawaii, any time i see something that reminds me of my hawaii vacation years ago i get pangs of nostalgia and i feel like there’s so much more i could experience there that wouldve went over my head when i was 7 years old lol ;v; i also really wanna visit more places in california, i’ve only seen such a small part of that state ahaha and it’d be nice to explore the east coast as well! not to mention all the places outside of the country i wanna see haha ;u;
