Caleb felt a faint prickling sensation along the back of his neck as he looked at the hounds, noticing their eyes tracked him. “So… what exactly am I helping with?” he asked, though his voice came out thinner than he intended. Bastion turned to him slowly, that same mild, almost polite smile on his face. “Training.”

The way Bastion spoke made Caleb tremble, and he let out a nervous laugh to try to hide the growing terror. “For what?”

Bastion crouched down, his gloved hands resting on each of the hound's head. The beasts stilled beneath his touch, “Tracking.”

Stole the idea from @thornethenorn, and so it wont get crossed with his post with how Tumblr works, we are reposting it here with the two facts so far.

1) Bastion can speak Welsh fluently by the time aycf happens. He learned to speak it since Mansell speaks it also to impress him.

2) Mansell has a tendency to let himself into Bastions' home uninvited, mostly by climbing through the window. To either check on him or cook him breakfast. He used to do more often when they were in their 30s, but that happened less and less frequently, once they had their falling out.

I've always liked AYCF (a young Candles Flame) before I knew the author. I was just less open about it because I didn't know the author right away. And now that I do know them, I was more open to be like "oh here is someone I know's work!" So I like to promote their amazing work :))

I'm also on their writing team for both their novel and AYCF so that's also why

As for my Wittebane content, I'm kinda on the fence about it. I'm kinda falling out on the Fandom, but that might because I'm pushing myself and I'm going through a rough spot.

And ngl it's hard to want to share stuff when the a majority of the Fandom has me blocked or wants me dead (which I'm not complaining about)

So I wrote a fic of @azure-blaze92 's characters in AYCF, and I published it because it was very long, and I'm proud of it.
