GULF OF ÛTUM AESTHETICS - [II] DYR
The Barl Syrnac range faded into foothills and low mountains north of the Firth of Dyr (Dy."Hudyr") and Forest of Dyr (Dy."Yardyr"), both named for the Dyr River (Dy."Endyr") which originated in the Iron Hills (Dy."Urmkarag"). The Inhabitants were the Dyrians (Dy."Dyrarr", "Mist-Men"), a Tyran speaking people. There's also a big presence of the Blacklocks clan of the dwarves.
The woodland of Dyr is stretched between the western bank of the Ujelsha River, and a spur of the Iron Mountains, the little Nojdä River, which is rich in clay and in copper. Formerly inhabited by the Dyrians, there is still in Dyr some abandoned villages, occasionally occupied by marauders, Lothragh raiders and Orcs.
