GEOFFREY- “I know whose name it’s in Nancy, I didn’t need Ivan to tell me that.”

NANCY- “Of course you know, as it’s in YOUR name. I am not sure if you understand how this works, Geoffrey.  You should; you have been married to me now what, almost 19 years? My money is my money, and your money is MY money.  Especially after your bankrupted my father’s baby, Landgraab Industries. And I am going to need that...my money to put down on the Cacti Casa property.”

GEOFFREY- “That 30% has helped pay for our food and our personal items while we live here. And it has only been an average of 1200 a month.”

NANCY- “We OWN this place, why would we need to pay for our own food and personal items, it should be included...No wonder you bankrupted us, Geoffrey. So, from what Ivan has informed me there is almost 10,000 simoleons in that account, exactly what I need to put down on our new home.”

GEOFFREY- “YOUR new home.”

NANCY- “It could be yours as well, if you would give up this fantasy of becoming some big hotel magnate and move with your family where you belong.”

GEOFFREY- “I am not moving from this hotel, and I am not giving you that money.”

Nancy comes over to the table to take a seat at the table.  She has that smile on her face that Geoffrey knows all too well. She has something on him, yet again. He knows better than to try and start a conversation with his wife about Malcolm’s attitude towards Johnny, so he doesn’t even go there.  And even before she sits down, she begins

NANCY- “I spoke with the financer this morning Geoffrey.”

GEOFFREY- Okay, I will take the bait, and what did Ivan have to say?”

NANCY- “That we can get out of this godforsaken hell hole, as he was able to secure enough money from Landgraab Tech, to get the old Cacti Casa house so that it can be refurbished.”. 

GEOFFREY- “Nancy there is nothing at all wrong with us living here.”

NANCY- “This is a hotel, Geoffrey!! Not a home. I am tired of sharing my dining room with guests, not to mention this pool! Ivan said that everything can be completed to my specifics in two months, so in two months and one day, we will be moving.”

GEOFFREY- “I am fine staying right here, Nancy.”

NANCY- “Fine with me as well. You and Johnny can stay here then, but as for Malcolm and I, we will be moving.Just as soon as I transfer the funds and they can get the main floor completed.

GEOFFREY- “ Trust me, I have no problem staying here. But maybe you should ask Johnny what he wants to do instead of assuming he would want to stay here.”

NANCY- “I already have, and he said he would continue to live here...free of charge, no less, and continue to work as a maintenance supervisor. There is something else that Ivan told me, Geoffrey…

GEOFFREY- “Ivan is just full of information, so what else did he tell you, Nancy?”

GEOFFREY- “Malcolm, you need to be a little more agreeable with Johnny. He may be your half brother, but he is still your blood. And that blood IS Landgraab blood, and by rights entitles him to the Landgraab money, so you may want to be a little nicer to him.”

MALCOLM -  “You are joking right? Did you hear what he just called me?? He has no respect for anyone...And do you really think Mother is going to leave him anything? She didn’t even want him to begin with.  Why do you think Aunt Penelope raised him?”

GEOFFREY- “Respect is two fold, you have to give it to receive it back, Malcolm. And it’s a good thing your mother did let your Aunt raise him. As she certainly did a better job with Johnny than what your mother has done with you. Trust me Malcolm, you attitude is not going to take you far in this world. You can't just expect everything to be given to you.”

MALCOLM- “It’s worked so far, father. And maybe it wasn’t mother that has failed in parenting, if I am not mistaken you both share in that responsibility, do you not?”

GEOFFREY- “. Anytime I have tried, your mother has interceded. If I had my way, you would be right up there with Johnny right now cleaning toilets, or in Military School. But no...God forbid if you had to do anything around here.”

MALCOLM- “You know what father, I am bored with this conversation and the pool. Maybe we can continue this conversation in some other lifetime….”

GEOFFREY - “You know what Nancy?  You do that, file your damn divorce papers. Freeze all your money, as you will not be able to use it to get that damn house either. And for the record, I prefer to go back to using MY name as opposed to being known as a Landgraab. I’m calling your bluff. So do it.”

NANCY- “Oh, Geoffrey, this is not a bluff. I was advised after you lost Landgraab Industries to do exactly this, but no… I said I couldn’t do that to you, you are my husband.  But I have realized that you have never been a husband Geoffrey.”

GEOFFREY- “Like you have been a model wife. I know the only reason you married me was to get your father’s money and company. And the only reason you got pregnant was to try and convince me that we were husband and wife...Hell if truth be known Malcolm is probably not even my son.

A Whole New World ~ The Landgraabs

To Be Brothers or Not to be, That is the Question….

Johnny finished cleaning the pool and decided to take a little swim to cool off before proceeding with his next mundane chore...cleaning the bathrooms.  As he was just getting into it, his younger brother, Malcolm appeared in the pool area... 

MALCOLM- “Don’t you have something you should be doing?”

JOHNNY- (Getting out of the pool, as he knows this is going to lead to an argument. ) “I just cleaned the pool, and decided to test it before heading inside.”

MALCOLM- - “Well, by you getting into the pool kind of defeated the purpose of cleaning it, don’t you think?”

JOHNNY “You’re funny, Malcolm.”

MALCOLM- “Apparently funnier than you, seeing how you came back here because you couldn’t make it as a comedian. Could you just go on back in and do what it is you do here. I want to swim.”

JOHNNY - “It’s a big pool, Malcolm.”

MALCOLM- “I have to live in this rat infested hotel, I do not HAVE to swim with the help…”

JOHNNY- “Fine, I don’t have time for your childish attitude anyway.”

JOHNNY- “Malcolm, one of these days someone is going to bring you down a few levels, and I certainly hope I am around to see it.

MALCOLM- “No matter how far I get knocked down, Johnny, I will never be at your level. You can trust me on that.”

JOHNNY- “No, you won’t, I can guarantee that, for sure. But I chose not to shove my head so far up mother’s ass that I couldn’t see what the real world was all about.”

MALCOLM- “Oh, but who came running back to her when he lost everything he had. How about you go back to the gutter where you came from, because there is nothing here for you Johnny ZEST.”

Just as he says this, his father, Geoffrey comes out to the pool area...

GEOFFREY- “Malcolm!? I doubt very seriously that your mother would condone you speaking to Johnny like that.  He is your brother, after all.”

MALCOLM- “He is my HALF brother, and that does not make him a Landgraab...by definition that makes him a bas----

GEOFFREY- “MALCOLM!!  That is enough, go inside.”

JOHNNY- “It’s okay, Geoffrey, I was just getting out anyway, I need to start on the bathrooms in the guest quarters.”

MALCOLM - “That’s more like it, as I am sure mother would not condone you swimming on the job,”

GEOFFREY- “Malcolm, this is Johnny’s home just as much as it is yours.  He has every right to swim in the pool, if he so desires.”

Landgraabing in Oasis Springs

After losing Landgraab Industries during the last economic disaster, Geoffrey Landgraab took what money he had left and bought the Oasis Springs Hotel. Which also serves as their home for the time being. An exclusive hang out for anyone who is anyone. His investment so far is paying off and he is able to put some money aside to hopefully get him out from under his wife, once and for all…

His wife, Nancy Landgraab continues to remind her husband who he was and where he came from before she pulled him out of the middle class hell hole, known as the Remingtons. Even though her husband lost Landgraab Industries, she still holds all the cards in Landgraab Tech. But she has learnt her lesson, and will not be putting her husband at the helm this time around.

Johnny Zest, has returned home… the prodigal son. Being born to Nancy when she was a high school senior she sent him away by direction of her father, to her older sister Penelope, when she married Geoffrey Remington. When Johnny came of age he changed his name and was going to make it big.  But the joke was on him. He had to come back and now his title is the head of Maintenance for the hotel. Hey, it’s a job and a roof over his head, right?
