2. Favorite part of writing?

Honestly, writing, for me, started out as a way to vent. My frustrations, dark thoughts, all that good stuff that little middle school me just couldn’t handle keeping in my head. Now though, I just- I really love writing stories and seeing people’s reactions to those stories (even though I currently only write stories for FR). It just makes me happy yanno? When people tell me what my stories made them feel or if they were relatable? That’s my favorite part.

13. How do you deal with writer’s block?

If it’s for a specific piece, then I leave it alone for awhile and work on other pieces for awhile before coming back to it. If it’s in general, then I take a break, play a game, watch a movie, etc., just do other stuff and don’t dwell on it too much cause that just frustrates me and a frustrated TJ is not a productive TJ. Then I eventually come back to whatever I was trying to work on with a fresh mind and better ideas. Sounds cheesy, I know, but it works for me, so why change that?

27. Do you share rough drafts or do you wait until it’s all polished?

I like to share rough drafts (as I’m sure you know friend haha) mostly because I like to know if the story is making sense, if it’s interesting enough, if the characters seem consistent, etc. etc. while I’m writing it. Not to say once I finish it, I won’t go back and edit, but it’s like having an extra step of editing while the story is in process. Does that make sense?

49. What do you find the hardest to write in a story, the beginning, the middle or the end?

Oh man, I’d have to say the end? Though I’ve struggled writing all three at times, but I feel like the endings always give me a hard time no matter what? It might be because I’m really terrible at plots so when I’m writing, I have no idea where the story should be going and especially where it should end. Especially since, if it’s like a multi-chapter piece, I want the ending to, not necessarily be a cliff hanger, but I want it to be interesting enough that the reader wants to keep reading. And I feel like one thing I struggle with as a writer is keeping things interesting and plot relevant. Because I like to write short snippets of fluff and angst and hurt/comfort.

….which is probably why I’ve never written anything longer than a chapter. eh heh heh >>;
