She ran after Scott outed the twins to Jean in hopes of getting into her good graces. Shawn had been smart, stood his ground against the man who proceeded to call them abominations just because they dared to have the same DNA as Wolverine mixed with Jean instead of his own. Sarah, on the other hand, she’d dealt with losing her mother for so long. She was the one who was the most like Jean. Her features, her powers, practically a mini-Jean--aside from the VERY Wolverine traits she inherited both powers and personality-wise. Logan had known for awhile, he smelled it on them. Sarah and Xavier had blocked Jean from entering either of the twins’ minds to find out. Sure, they’d only been here a few months but... it already felt more like home than their own universe had.

“be careful with that, it’s a family heirloom.”

She had seen Vibe on TV lots. He was one of the superheroes of Central City. How many times have I daydreamed him or The Flash or Kid Flash or any of the others would see my parents hurting me and come stop them and help me? She had lost count of how many daydreams she’d had like that. And now Vibe was right under her tree.

I can ask him to help me. He’s a superhero, superheroes help - you can ask them to help you!

Hazel unfurled her wings. She had to get down quick. She had seen on TV Vibe use his powers. He could open up these like portals and disappear in them. Her heart thudded wildly at the thought he could disappear.

“Don’t go Vibe!” She cried down in panic and then she jumped off her branch and flew her way down, landing several feet in front of him in a pool of moonlight. She’d taken a few leaves down with her from jumping off her branch and they fell around them. The moonlight pool lit her white wings and her bruises up - Hazel could see all the bruises on her arms that the moonlight seemed to make stand out. She bet the one on her cheek was showing too. I hope he sees my bruises so he’ll believe me when I tell him my parents hurt me.

“Can you help me Vibe?” She asked in a soft voice, taking a few steps closer and looking at his blue glowing glasses that hid his eyes. She wanted to say more, to say how her parents were hurting her, how she had flown away from home but how she was now alone and scared but she couldn’t get the words out, she could feel a lump in her throat and felt tears pooling in her eyes and then sliding down her cheeks.

Geralt had never cared about his timer. It didn’t help that it was invisible from the depigmentation that came with his Trial of Grasses. When he was younger it had brought him a sense of reassurance the he would live through the mutations. But to the average person being stuck with a witcher for a soulmate sounded less than ideal. For all he knew his soulmate saw him and decided to turn tail and run, maybe they died in the war. That’s why he felt no guilt wishing for the djinn to make Yennefer and him bonded.

Geralt had taken a contract to find a missing person. Footprints had led him to a cave. He expected to find Nekkers or a Basilisk of some sort due to a couple of clues but halfway through the cave his Wolf medallion started humming with a strong intensity that only got stronger the further he went. He stepped into the main chamber of the cave. In the center was a portal and of course the footprints he had been tracking led straight for it. For a moment he debated bringing the contract back and not completing it. He hated portals, and on top of that he didnt know where this one would go in the first place, and on top of that he may not come out on the other side in one piece.  

He sighed before looking around to make sure the room was relatively secure. He steeled himself before stepping into the milky white nothingness in front of him. Instead of a gentle transition a portal was supposed to offer Geralt found himself vaulted through the air and with no sense of space he wasn’t able to land gracefully or in a roll despite his inhuman reflexes. He was thrown into someone who was unfortunately not his contract target. Unbeknownst to him it was however his soulmate.

“Sorry,” He said getting up and mumbling “Damn portal”
