You walked back to your dorm after class, Chuck was leaning slightly against the door, with a binder open in his arms. He had a pen in one hand and was writing on the many sheets of people. You cleared your throat as you walked over to him. He jumped slightly but smiled once he locked eyes with you.
“How was Latin?” He asked closing the binder and moving away from the door. You shrugged at his question giving him a smile.
“How was your mythology class?” You asked as you opened the door, you turned the light on and placed your bookbag on the desk chair. He stayed by the door not getting in your way.
“It was okay… Zeus is a dick.”
“Tell me something I don’t know.” You giggled as you switched the books for your next class, throwing the bookbag back over your shoulders. He laughed at your comment as well. “Most Gods tend to slightly be dicks… nothing new really.”
“All of them?” He rose an eyebrow at you.
“No… I said most. A high majority though are especially with Greek gods. They tend to be a little bit too into some other things I’d rather not discuss.” You looked over at the blue-eyed man who smiled nodding.
“Yeah I believe in something a little different than them.” You smiled back and walked out of your dorm. He walked close beside you his arm gently brushing against yours. He opened the door to one of the many food courts on campus, allowing you in first. You smiled at him before walking in.
You sat at a booth with your food, Chuck sat across from you sliding into the booth awkwardly. You smiled at him as you started to eat. You noticed him staring at you and looked at the table, his hand gently stopped you as he smiled at you.
“Can I help you?” You smirked playfully trying not to let him know how bad he got to you. He gave a slight smirk back.
“What? Can I not admire something as beautiful as yourself.” This coaxed a giggle from you which shocked you. You felt the heat rush to your cheeks as you turned back down to face your food. You moved the pasta with your fork. He went to eating then not saying much more.
“What were you working on?” You asked trying to change the subject. He smiled pulling out the binder that he had out before. He pushed it toward you slightly. You saw Supernatural written on the cover.
“It’s the first book of this series I’m thinking about writing… they just kind of come to me in these dreams I have.” You smiled at it opening it up. You began to read it while you ate. On the first page you noticed the name Carver Edlund.
“You have a pen name?” You raised an eyebrow at him.
“Of course I do Y/N… what if no one likes my books. Don’t have to worry because no one is going to know it’s me who writes me.” You rolled your eyes slightly.
“May I read it knowing you’re the one who wrote it?” He laughed a bit nodding. “Great!” You smiled putting it into your bookbag. You zipped it up then before standing. “I have my math class… do you want to come over tonight? We could maybe watch a movie or something.” He smiled bigger than you ever did.
“I would love that Y/N. I’ll see you tonight.” He stood with you. “Mind if I walk you to class?” you smiled and allowed him to gently take your hand in his. He led you gently out of the food court into the cold, he made sure your jacket was zipped before you continued walking. He pulled you closer to him making you smile. You liked being close to Chuck, the musky smell coming from his skin. When you got to your class Chuck pulled you closer to him, his beard gently tickled your neck and chin as he hugged you.
“I’ll see you tonight.” You smiled, he nodded kissing your cheek.
“Of course beautiful. Wouldn’t want to spend it with anyone else.” You blushed more and had no clue what this new-found confidence was, but you kind of liked it.
After class you walked to your dorm and kicked your shoes off along with your coat and bookbag. You pulled the binder out of it before plopping down on your bed. You began reading through the draft, it seemed to be about two brothers looking for their dad. They hunted monsters, and honestly you couldn’t help but to relate to Sam and Dean. You loved college but ‘classic’ rock was your main love. Anyway, Dean dragged Sam away and they were going to find their father. They hunted down whatever killed their mom. You were sucked in from the start of the book, despite the semi-crappy writing.
The knock on your door made you jump, you put the binder down hopping off your semi-lofted bed. You got up on your tip-toes to look out the peep hole. You smiled seeing Chuck’s face. He smiled as you opened the door, you hugged him tight.
“Hey! How was your day?” You allowed him into the room.
“It was good… much better now.” He kissed your cheek and you giggled at the feeling of his beard against your skin. He walked to your bed smirking at the sight of the open binder. “I see you’ve been reading.”
“I love it… it’s great.” He gave you a weary look. “Honestly Chuck… I wouldn’t lie to you about something like that.” He blushed slightly then before getting up into the bed. You followed him bringing your laptop up on your bed. You got onto Netflix and searched through the different movies. You stopped when you found a horror movie you’ve never seen before. Chuck sighed but allowed you to turn it anyways. Midway through the movie he lifted his arms above his head yawning and stretching before putting it around his shoulder.
“No, you did not.” You giggled as you cuddled up closer to him. He kissed the top of your head as he rubbed his hand up and down on your arm. His warmth gave you a comfort you’ve never felt before. You snuggled into his neck as you watched the movie your eyes slowly growing heavier. You slowly began to get more tired, till finally you actually fell asleep in his arms.
