Ange was, admittedly, baited into giggling slightly when things didn’t quite go the other’s way. If she had managed to land the ball exactly where it needed to go, perfectly and precisely, that might have been charming in its own way, but it would also have made Ange feel a bit nervous. Socializing was not her strong suit. She knew this, and she admitted it to any who would ask. She was not especially prideful, after all. Still though, when given the opportunity, she also didn’t want to come across as difficult to accommodate, or not worth having asked in the first place, so she did her best to be good company. That’s when she paid for her indiscretion, because as much as she’d just been laughing, she didn’t fare much better when the ball was tossed her way. She fumbled with it back and forth for a moment, almost dropping it completely before she finally stabilized it in-between her palms.
“We’ve both got our proficiencies, I suppose...” She nods, a small exhale of a laugh leaving her chest before she makes an attempt to line up her shot. “It’s no surprise you’ve got more experience with this, though, you’re quite outgoing, all things considered.” She tosses. The curve of her throw is somewhat graceful, but though it comes closer to the appropriate target than Marin’s did, it still falls slightly short. “--Ah. Undershot that.” She mumbles as an aside, before quickly getting back to what she was saying, straightening her back again as she stands upright.
“The girls I schooled with were much more...insular with their groups, I guess you could say. They’d already largely decided who they liked and didn’t like by the time I’d enrolled, so naturally I suppose I wasn’t really part of those conversations...about social events and such. This is a nice change of pace.”
A pause as she puffs her cheek slightly, though only in playful jest. “Well, whenever you’re not making fun of me, anyway.”
