it's your boy: the one, the only...Monokuma! (it's also a sketch that's a little rougher than what i've been showing, but it's just so cute, i had to post it.)

anyway!

this is a weird fan game, and i wanted to ground it with somewhat familiar faces. since A WONDERFUL DANGANRONPA takes place in a "non-despair" timeline, i figured it'd be fun to bring back everyone's most favorite mascot pair, one half of which is the Kuma of All Time.

this game around, however, Monokuma claims to be the little brother...and a god. he also stole his spear from Usami. rude! i wonder what that's all about?

in terms of Monokuma's design, i went back and forth for almost a year, which is why you're only just seeing this draft now. do i redesign him completely? or would that defeat the purpose? should i give him a new outfit, like Usami's? questions, questions, plaguing me for eternity...but eventually, i decided it'd be fitting if he looked like a standard Monokuma unit that went rogue. sorta like his "cousins" Shiro- and Kurokuma in UDG, i suppose.

so! he's like a Build-a-Bear in a little Grecian Mad Max outfit. and he looks adooooorable. underneath, he resembles any Monokuma in any other game. (you'll see when i add color.)
