Sending this request through submit cause I don’t think it will fit in an ask ^^; Hair headcanons…more specifically: do you think the I-spike-my-hair-to-look-cool squad (Noya, Bokuto, Tendou) would gel back their hair completely for super formal events (formal as in “I’m stuck buying an expensive tuxedo”)? What about with the opposite hair styles like Kageyama, Kunimi, and Yams? And can Hinata and Kuro even think about attempting to slick back their hair like that? And imagine Oikawa with his hair slicked back…hoooo boy (Is the character limit still 10? I don’t remember lol so feel free to cut out some characters or group them) Thanks, you rock :D
[My personal favourites are Bokuto and Oikawa with slicked back hair aaaaaAAAAAAaaaaaA (*´ڡ`●) ] Nishinoya: Since it wasn’t just the coolness-factor that motivated Nishinoya to spike up his hair, he would get the feeling that people would denounce him to being a child all the more. However, trying to gel his hair back in the confinement of his home, he would get a weird sense of actually looking more mature.
Bokuto: Initially, the idea of going to a formal event and wearing a nicely fitted tuxedo would excite Bokuto and if it wasn’t for everybody else in his environment telling him to gel his hair back, he probably would sport his usually spiked-up hairstyle. But the longer he would spend time at this event, the more uncomfortable Bokuto would feel, tugging at his tie and getting the urge to wash his hair.
Tendou: Even though formal settings usually bored Tendou, unless he knew that there were going to be rather interesting personalities present, he would still find enjoyment in “dressing up” in a tuxedo. Smiling at his own reflection in the mirror, he would take his time to gel his hair back properly, feeling like the top of his head looked a little too flat for his liking.
Kageyama: Kageyama wouldn’t be the type to care too much about his hair, although he would comply if it was expected of him. Even though he would prefer to wear casual clothing, the tuxedo would look good on him, the fabric hugging nicely to his athletic body.
Kunimi: Seeing this more like a nuisance than an enjoyable event, Kunimi couldn’t wait for the moment he would be back home and take a shower. Even though the tuxedo would be perfectly cut out for his body type, Kunimi would feel irritated by the clothing and despite all the compliments he received for his hairstyle, he’d prefer to wear it just as he always does.
Yamaguchi: Yamaguchi would probably feel self-conscious with the slicked back hair, almost as if all of the attention would be diverted to his facial features and his skin. It would probably take a couple of arguments and reassuring pats on his back for Yamaguchi to ease into the situation.
Hinata: Even though Hinata would keep his juvenile aura, he himself would feel incredibly mature in his fitted tuxedo and his slicked back hair. It would have taken some time to tame his hair, since it is full of volume (and some tangles, when you take the time to comb through it properly).
Kuroo: Kuroo’s prominent facial features would pull everyone’s attention towards him, thanks to his hair not covering half of his face anymore. People would probably admire his intense eyes the most, women forcing themselves to turn away their heads in fear their husbands could catch onto them.
Oikawa: Oikawa would probably be the most confident out of all of them, knowing that slicked back hair looked just as good on him as his natural waves did. He would probably feel slightly more astute with this look, thinking that his formal attire and overall look could conceal his cheeky behaviour and words.
