i think pg awaystuck is kind of used to coming home to find his shit just gone.his grandmother's control over him, while absolute, is very subtle. she gives pg a very long leash, but when he's not around silently punishes him for all perceived slights and sets about removing all methods of escape or rebellion. i think he's used to coming home to his room ransacked, his mattress flipped over, and half of his clothes missing. and the poor kid won't even know it until he goes looking

pg doesn't have the language to describe his transness or his alterhumanity but oddly i think the latter is a LOT easier to wrap his head around. i wish i was a dog instead of a girl, it says, blissfully unaware due to its isolation that dogs can be girls
