Asami was good at hardening her shell and never letting it show how much she was hurting. A master at it, even. But it was a skill she had honed perfectly in the two years that Korra had been away from Republic City.

But now Korra was actually back and Asami had to focus. Had to put everything she learned into play. She knew, from Korra’s letters, that her friend was still struggling with what had happened. So, despite desperately wanting, somewhere deep down, to confide her own issues into her only friend, she vowed to keep her mouth shut and just be there for Korra. Exactly as it should be.

Shoulders SQUARE at words. For a moment she thinks he’ll argue. Since KUVIRA kicked her ass, no-ones believed in HER. HELL, she doubts she believes in herself at the moment. She needs to do this, she needs to face him head on, NO more hiding. No more RUNNING, she needs so see the whites of his eyes & be done with this. She can’t carry on like this, she can’t carry on being AFRAID of him, she needs to FACE him.

She NODD’S decisively. They make a good TEAM, this morning has proved that &if she’s doing to do this this she needs someone to have her BACK.

                    “You can come WITH me, but you’re not going to TALK me out of it,                                                                                                                           o k a y? I NEED to do this.”

               “I’m not going to talk you out of this, but I AM coming with you.                  ---- And not because I don’t  t r u s t  you with this.”

Mako has been through enough with Korra to know to have FAITH in her judgement as an AVATAR. No, this was more than just about helping Jinora and the others out of the spirit world; this was about Korra finding BALANCE within herself and her past. Ever since Korra had left to travel the world on her own, Mako had almost forgotten how much it pained him to see Korra like that ---- desperate and confused.

He let out a small huff before he gave her a cheering smile and continued:

who hogs the duvet - Asami. Korra can self warm

who fusses over the other when they’re sick - Both of them! But Korra more. Because Asami is a kind of whiney baby when she gets sick.

who gets jealous easiest - Asami. She remembers being cheated on and although she loves and trusts Korra, she is the avatar and people like to fawn over her.

who has the most embarrassing taste in music - Korra. Asami likes classical only.

who collects something unusual - Asami. Rocks. She collects rocks.

who takes the longest to get ready - Asami. MAKEUP!

who is the most tidy and organised - ASAMI. Touch her filing if you want to die.

who gets most excited about the holidays - Korra. She likes getting away.

who is the big spoon/little spoon - Korra is big spoon most of the time.

who gets most competitive when playing games and/or sports - Korra.

who starts the most arguments - Neither. They try their hardest not to argue.

who suggests that they buy a pet - Korra. COMPANY!

what couple traditions they have - On birthdays they do a ‘I have to say yes to you’ day. Where unless something is morally reprehensible or something they would NEVER do, they have to say yes to it.

what tv shows they watch together - No real TV, but they probably listen to a few radio dramas together.

what other couple they hang out with - Bolin/Opal. Pema/Tenzin.

how they spend time together as a couple - Lounging about at home, going on dates, Avatar/sidekick duties.

there’s a hella good list of native american fc’s here (nativerpt.tumblr.com/po…) although I’d recommend either devery jacobs or tanaya beatty personally as they look most alike to Korra and have the best resources. although julia jones works if you want to use her! (hope this helps!)
