With an ex-wife, an ex-husband, three kids and five grandkids, Aviel lives for his work now. He has an empty nest with only his cat left to keep him company, and Aviel doesn't like it. He'd rather be researching, working, analyzing... anything to keep him from looking at his lonely home in Manor Suites. It's why you'll often find him with a lemon drop martini at the bar, or trying to snatch the mic from whoever's messing up karaoke. Aviel has had a colorful life. Growing up in Upstate New York, he came from a large family and was always the entertainer - the one making the jokes, keeping his family laughing. But he also worked hard. Odd summer jobs and saving his money for college.
He loved the creative side of things, but wanted to deep dive into it. Art history and Archaeology was the perfect niche for him, and he found himself going on expeditions to uncover and research. He's been all over. A rambling man, a traveler. A speaker at various international conferences. The man may not be a household name, but Aviel's face is well known within the circuit of gallery spaces and museums.
During this time he was seen and picked out for the information he could provide. A little name or location here or there. Something to assist the Brotherhood - when he could. It was never really about the money for Aviel. He liked a little chaos, loved seeing rich people squirm in their seats. And oh, was it fun to get back at the upturned noses at the various museums he frequented by dropping some of their precious private lives into the laps of someone who could blackmail them or hack into their systems.
After decades within the field, he decided to pursue a different passion - with grandkids and his own kids all grown up, empty nest and all that, he left his life of historian lectures and archaeology. Became a kindergarten teacher and never looked back.
However, Aviel sits on a wealth of information he never expected... because his students have rich parents. Affluent. Powerful. And boy, do they love to talk. Maybe he's thought of getting back into it - a little dropped factoid here or there.
