i’ve been replaying ghost of tsushima which has allowed me to think more about my ship with him. my s/i, meg, washed up on the shores of tsushima at a very young age after a shipwreck, and was taken in by the ronin, growing up in their customs and training. she also took on the last name of a ronin who became a parental figure to her.

💜 how do they confess? is it a grand gesture or in a more mundane moment?

arthur is the one who confesses. late at night when the stars are out and the full moon is bright, he and meg go for a walk on the countryside, just talking like old friends do. and the night sky is illuminating meg in such a way that arthur can’t keep his eyes off her, and he catches his mind wandering, imagining a life with her, and while the walk wasn’t intended as a moment for him to confess, he suddenly gets an intense feeling of bravery and just wanting her to be his. so he confesses, albeit stammering a little, completely taking meg by surprise as well. so yes, definitely a more mundane moment lol (and of course meg reciprocates)
